Locum Doctors working for CPFT who require access to CMM EPMA used of CPFT inpatient wards.

Self-directed learning - approximately 2 hours.

Course summary:

This course is an introduction to CMM EPMA system and its functionality. Provides the users with the fundamental skills to use and navigate the system.

This course also focuses on prescribing functionalities within CMM EPMA system. Providing the users with the key skills to prescribe medications, Discontinue and suspend orders, as well as other prescriber functions.

 

Learning outcomes:


By the end of the session you should:

  • To be able to prescribe the different type of medications, including protocols.
  • To be able to modify existing order.
  • Understand how to prescribe from previous care episode and transcribe from Medicines reconciliation.
  • To be able to discontinue, suspend and resume orders.
  • Understand how medication supply requests for short-term leave are made.
  • Understand the process for completing discharge paperwork.
  • To be able to view prescribing and administration histories for current and previous admissions.
